"Bill"

Age 53 of Carbon Hill, passed away Tuesday morning October 13, 2009 at Morris Hospital.

Born December 13, 1955 in Oak Park, Illinois, Bill was a son of the late Fred Richard Keefer and Suzanne Phyllis Baldwin. He was raised in Chicago until moving to Coal City in the early 1970's. Bill worked as a carpenter locally for the past 25 years and was a member of the Coal City Area Club. He enjoyed camping and his Old Style and was known as a Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan.

Survivors include his wife Debra (nee Blum), whom he married on April 17, 1986 in the Coal City United Methodist Church; four children: Jim (Jaymie) Muser of Pensacola, Florida, Jennifer Muser of Charleston, Illinois and Michael and Melissa Muser, both of Carbon Hill; two granddaughters: Ellyot and Evelyn Muser; five sisters and one brother: Carol Ring of Coal City, Karen (Rusty) Finger of Florida, Cindy Ring of Coal City, John (Kelly) Keefer of Texas, Linda Eeingenburg of Woodstock, Illinois and Patty (Mitch) Wagner of Ottawa; his grandmother Phyllis Baldwin of Coal City; step-mother Tommie Ava Keefer of Ottawa and nieces and nephews: Jack, Hannah and Caroline Keefer, John Eeingenburg and Ava Wagner, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Kay Muser; his maternal grandfather Vernon Baldwin and paternal grandparents: Dorthee and Earl Muser.

Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will receive friends on Friday October 16, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Bill's memory to the Coal City Fireman's Association or the American Cancer Society.
