"Bill"

Age 87 of Arizona, and formerly Wilmington, passed away Wednesday July 1, 2009 in Arizona.

Born December 04, 1921 in Joliet, Bill was a son of the late Glen, Sr. and Mary Haley-Kurth. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Bill was associated with Kurth's Grocery Store in Wilmington for many years, and after retiring moved to Arizona with his wife Alice who preceded him in death. Bill was a former member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington.

Survivors include his three loving daughters: Cindi (Jack) Lenzie, Billie (Daniel) Hayes and Mary Lou (Nick) Gerovese, all of Arizona; five grandchildren: Kurt (Marina), Tony (Stephanie) and Steven (Mandy) Lenzie, Mona (Richard) Thurmond and Martie (Steve Kelley) Gutshall and eight great grandchildren: Sam, Matt, Chris, Hanna and Jimmy Lenzie and Billie Marie, Alice and Emily Thurmond.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 14, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Wednesday July 15th from 9:00AM until 9:30AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow Wednesday at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bill's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
