William C. Griffith

Age 84 of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025 in New Lenox.

Born on May 2, 1940, in Harvey, Illinois, William Clancy was a son of Clancy William Griffith and Elizabeth (nee Doogan) Workman. 

A proud retired teamster, William spent a significant portion of his life working hard to support his family and build a bright future for them. He resided in Wilmington, Illinois, for 18 years and was a member of Will County Sportsmans Club, Lake Will, where he found immense joy in boating and embracing the lake life. 

Survivors include five children; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a celebration of William's life will be held at a later date.
