William "Bill" Arthur Cobb
Age 57 of Braceville, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2007.
Born June 14, 1950 in Joliet, Bill is a son of Melvina (nee Adamson) Cobb-Long of Gardner and the late Cyrus Floyd Cobb. He was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardnera�"South Wilmington High School with the Class of 1968. Bill worked as an Electrician for the IBEW Local 461 for 35 years until his retirement. He was a life member of the NRA and North American Hunting Club and was a great outdoorsman. In his free time Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping, playing poker and gaming, traveling and spending time with his family. Bill loved his pets and was a great dog lover.
Survivors include his mother Melvina Long; wife Kathleen (nee Yatuni); one son Aaron Christopher Cobb of Park Forest; one daughter Sarah (Nick) Gonda of Wilmington; one step-son Kirk Rode of Braceville and two grandchildren. Two sisters: Wanda Lee (Ron) Poulos of Wilmington and Vickie (the late Lobo Salas) Cobb of Park Forest; one step-sister Sandra (Greg) Stephan of Round Lake Beach; two step-brothers: Gary Long of Round Lake Beach and Mark (Angie) Long of California. One brother-in-law Casey (Carm) Hammond of Braceville and two sisters-in-law: Carolyn (Bob) Howen of Morris and Kim Youskevtch of Morris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Cyrus Floyd Cobb, step father Roy Leon Long and one brother-in-law Lobo Salas.
At the families request all services will be private and interment will be in Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bill's memory to a Humane Society of the donor's choice.
