Age 70 of Morris, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in Sycamore, Illinois. Born January 13, 1939 in Morris, Bill was a son of James W. and Margaret (Obert) Bell. He was raised and educated in Morris spending all of his life in the Morris-Braidwood area. Bill owned and operated a bait shop in Braidwood, worked at the Morris Paper Mill, did construction work and owned and operated Star Bright Painting. Bill enjoyed fishing and going for coffee.

Survivors include his three children: Tammie (William) Pentecost of Stockland, Illinois, Mary Richard of Godley, and Michael Bell of Braidwood; one grandson: Spencer Pentecost; four sisters: Idie (the late Emil) Dedinski of Florida, Betty "Bobbie" (Rudy) Cotter of Princeton, Ruth (Charles) Partridge of Louisiana and Nadine (Larry) Kingman of Morris; two brother: Harold (the late Donna) Bell and Kenneth (Caroline) Bell both of Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as special friends: Judy Dappert and Randy Keeneth.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20 between the hours of 5:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. A private family burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Bill's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 30 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 2015, Chicago, Illinois 60602
