Age 75 of Coal City, passed away September 19, 2012 at Morris Hospital.

Born September 23, 1936 in Beardstown, Illinois, Willa Mae was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eleanor Perry-Caldwell. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, attended Wilmington High School and graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet. On January 30, 1960, Willa married James Roy in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington where the ceremony was officiated by Fr. Ted Berst. Willa drove a school bus in both Coal City and Morris and was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City. In Willa's free time she enjoyed scrapbooking and playing cards, but most of all she greatly loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Survivors include: her husband of 52 years: James W. Roy; three children: Vanessa (Ron) Benson of Coal City, James Roy, Jr. of Missouri and Jennifer Roy of New York; five grandchildren: Jeremy (Alexandra) Benson, Holli Benson, Anthony Squellati, James Nicholas Roy and Melanie (Jeff) Sanders; four great grandchildren: Izabel Michelkamp, Griffin Benson, Max Benson and Eli Benson and one sister-in-law: Mary (David) Albrecht of Coal City.

Willa was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 between the hours of 9:00 am and 10:30 am at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.

A private family inurnment will be in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington and Bev Luck, JoAnn Hines, Marilyn Hook, Kay Veronda, Sharon Marizza, Darlene Palmer and Carolyn Longest will act as honorary pallbearers with Jane Anselmo and Phyllis Bruno as auxiliary pallbearers.
