Age 9 of Wilmington, Illinois passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 28, 2024 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born March 20, 2015 in Morris, Illinois, Weylen is the daughter of Emily Dome of Wilmington and Thomas Cadorette of Waterman, Illinois. She was a bright and enthusiastic 3rd-grade student at Stevens Intermediate School in Wilmington where her passion for reading and writing shone brightly. Known for her creativity from a young age, Weylen was brimming with clever ideas and took great delight in expressing herself through drawing.
An animal lover at heart, Weylen held a special place in her heart for horses and the adventure of horseback riding. She was fortunate to explore through travel with her family and just like her grandmother, she found peace and joy in nature's beauty. Weylen was most free and herself when at the beach. Her fascination with dragons added a whimsical flair to her character. Weylen will forever be cherished as a spirited, intelligent, and witty young lady whose memory will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
Survivors include her parents, Emily Dome and Thomas Cadorette; maternal grandfather, Charles Dome of Woodridge, Illinois; paternal grandparents: Larry and Roberta Cadorette of Jacksonville, Florida; great grandparents: Patti and Edward Bednar and Brenda (Paul) Czarapata; great-great grandmothers: Shirley Bednar, Karen Bartels and Jean Anderson; aunts and uncles: Joseph (Jessica) Dome and Shela (William) Fey, both of Coal City; Heather Cadorette of Joliet, Illinois and Gabe (Emily) Cadorette of Missouri; several great aunts and great uncles and her two cousins: Rylan and Blake Cadorette.
Weylen was preceded in death hours prior by her beloved grandmother, Lisa Dome.
