Age 53 of Gibson City and formerly Gardner, passed away unexpectedly Sunday May 25, 2014 at his home.

Born May 24, 1961 in Morris, Dwayne Evan is a son of Ruth (nee Gordon) Sanders of Coal City and the late Edgar "Bub" Sanders. He was a member of the Painters Local Union and currently held employment as a supervisor with C.L. Coatings. Bondo formerly owned and operated an auto body shop in Gardner and was a member of the South Wilmington Fireman's Club. Wayne enjoyed fishing, trap shooting and shooting pool. He was a NASCAR enthusiast and collected pocket watches and knives. Wayne will be remembered as a true "Ford Man" who cherished his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Sue, who he married August 25, 2001 in Arthur, Illinois; four children: Jodi Hardwick (A.J. Day) of Monticello, Jenni (Cody) Holladay of Rantoul and Tommy Cook and Tyler Cook, both of Gibson City; three grandchildren: Lillian Campbell and Brooklyn Holladay and Braylen Holladay; his mother Ruth Sanders of Coal City; brothers and sisters: Neil Sanders (Cyndi Campbell) of Tremont, Kathie (Dan) Schrempf of Essex, Cindy (Don) Berglund of Gardner, Connie (Kevin) Klug of Streator and Michael (Cindy) Sanders of Morris; three aunts: Fern Wren of Coal City, Alice (Mike) Ferrero-O'Hara of Morris and Maridean (Carl) Favero of Wilmington, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his faithful and beloved dog Buddy.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father Edgar "Bub" Sanders.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Saturday May 31st at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Pastor Rich Giovannetti from Standing in the Word Ministries officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris. Pallbearers will be: Ryan Sanders, A.J. Day, Brandon Sanders, Paul Romines, Brian Berglund and Randy Decker.
