Wanda J. Watson
Age 64 of Diamond and formerly Mazon, passed away Sunday April 06, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet.
Born July 04, 1943 in Coal City, Wanda was a daughter of the late Clarence "Shag" and Elsie Miller-Thorson. Wanda loved animals and was known for her work in training horses.
Survivors include her daughter Sheila (Ray) Conrad of Joliet; eight grandchildren: Katie, Don, Mandi, Ashley, Bubba, Courtney, Cassie and Amanda; one great grandson Logan; one sister Marcia Wills of Diamond; special friend Rick Weston; special "sista's": Chris Doty, Deb Clevenger and Jean Hogan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her pack: Chance, Bullit and Murphy.
Wanda was preceded by her parents, husband Albert Wayne Watson (1966); two sons: Mickey Watson and Roger Watson; one granddaughter Cory Watson and one nephew Shane Vaughan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday April 10, 2008 from 9:00AM until time of Memorial Service 11:00AM at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate the services and cremation rites will be accorded.
A private family inurnment will follow as a later date.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Wanda's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
