Wanda Mae Fritz

Age 82 of Goose Lake, passed away Saturday July 4, 2009 at her home.

Born April 13, 1927 in Joliet. Wanda was a daughter of Louis E. and Anna Marie Stanfield-Cooley. She was raised and educated in Joliet, and graduated from Joliet Central High School with the class of 1944. On August 2, 1947, she married Paul J. Fritz in Joliet. All of their married life they lived together in the Joliet area. She was a member of the former Ottawa Street United Methodist Church in Joliet.

Survivors include her daughter: Debbie Teufer of Joliet and a son: Paul "Jeff" (Sue) Fritz of Carbon Hill; two grandchildren: Amy (Mike) Vigna of Plainfield; Scott (Tabitha) Harrison of McDonough, GA; three step-grandchildren: Joshua (Amber) Robinson of Violet Hills, AR, Dakota Robinson and Zachary Montgomery both of Carbon Hill; two great grandchildren: Dylan Vigna and Connor Robinson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband and six brothers and sisters.

Wanda enjoyed working in her yard and around her home.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Wanda's memory to Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice.

Cremation rites will be accorded per Wanda's wishes and a private family inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
