Walter G. Kingman
Age 84 of Ft. Myers, Florida and formerly Gardner, passed away Thursday morning, March 17, 2016 at his home in Florida.
Born August 16, 1931 in Dwight, Walter is a son of the late Clarence and Esther (Davidson) Kingman. He was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School with the Class of 1949. He owned and operated his own restaurant, bus company, and was a third generation dairy farmer.
Survivors include his wife Doris (nee Hart); six children: Gene Kingman, Cheryl McKinney, Allen (Bobbi) Kingman, Jeanette Jensen, Jeff (Tammy) Berry and James (Mindi) Berry; (22) grandchildren; (33) great grandchildren; brother Earl (Reha) Kingman and sister Lois McDonald.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter: Lisa Martin.
Cremation rites have been accorded and Celebration of Walter's Life will be held at the Braceville United Methodist Church, 106 W. Gould Street in Braceville on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bennett Woods will officiate, and inurnment will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Walter's memory to Tice United Methodist Church in Ft. Myer's or Hope Hospice of Ft. Myers, Florida.
