Timothy A. Long
Age 50 of Wilmington passed away Thursday May 25, 2017 at his home.
Born June 1, 1966 in Joliet, Timothy Alan was a son of John Thomas, Sr. and Karen Lynn (nee Braun) Long-Seibert. He was raised and educated in Wilmington, and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1984. Tim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington, a carpenter with the Local Union #174 and was co-owner of Long Concrete and TA Long Excavating. He was passionate about sports, especially high school football and baseball. Tim loved spending time outdoors camping, boating, snowmobiling, or going on fishing trips to Canada. Anyone that knew him knew that Tim was a true patriot, who took great pride in his country and those who defended it. Above all else, Tim was a loving, patient and devoted father and brother who loved his children very much.
Survivors include his six children: Kyle (Erin) Adamic of Sheridan, Illinois, Alisha (Jamin) Fellows of Taylor, Arizona, Trevor (fiancé Hannah) Long and Evan Long, both of Show Low, Arizona, and Brendan and Austin Long, both of Goodyear, Arizona; four grandchildren: Brie and Gannon Fellows, and Aisley and Sophia Long; two brothers: Brian (Joan) Long of Elwood and John (Sue) Long, Jr. of Minocqua, Wisconsin; thirteen nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and loving companion: Mila Long.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation and video tribute will be Thursday June 1, 2017 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home on Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Wilmington.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Tim’s memory to Grace Lutheran Church, 907 Luther Drive, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
