"Uncle Bill"

Recently of Wilmington, was called home early on March 13th, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

He was born in Crumpler West Virginia, lived in Bluefield West Virginia, and then in his early years served in the United States Navy. After the service Uncle Bill moved to the Chicago area where he became a teamster working for Terrazzo Marble Co., from where he retired. He never had his own children, but was a father figure to many. He was quick with a joke, and just as quick to help if anyone who was in need. Uncle Bill was loved by many and will be missed.

He leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews, which include: niece Eileen Powell; great niece and great nephews, Brandy, Kristopher and Michael and great-great nephew Nicholas of Wilmington, Illinois; Maryalice (the late Dennis) Tosh-Nelson; great nephew Jason and great-great niece Kaitlyn of Bridgeview Illinois; nephew James (Rose) Tosh, great nephew and great niece Jeremy and Jessica and great-great nephew Branden of Justice Illinois; niece Kathy (Ralph) Narcaroti, great nephews: Lenny and Nathan and great-great niece Briana of the McHenry, Illinois and a niece Patrice (Ken) Hugo, great-great niece Brooke and great-great nephews: Travis, Cody, Jake and Adam, all of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. He also will be missed by his niece Carol Trump and great nephew Ken Trump of Virginia and Bonita (the late Charlie) Tosh, great nephew and great niece Charlie and Charity Tosh and great-great niece Hannah Tosh, all of Bluefield, West Virginia.

Uncle Bill was preceded by his parents Charles and Katie; brothers: Charlie and Ray and his sister Fannie Tosh.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 18th, 2008 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (one block North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. We will then process to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois for Military Honors and inurnment at 1:30PM.
