Age 73 of Morris, passed away Sunday December 10, 2006 at his home.

Born September 09, 1933 in Chicago, Thomas was a son of the late John and Ellen (Devins) Sheahan.

Thomas was a retired Captain with the Chicago Fire Department and retired Illinois State Fire Marshal. Past Commander of American Legion Post 294 in Morris, and member of Aerie Eagle 1024.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Clancy) and the late Patricia June (McDonnell); loving father of Michael (Kathleen Witry), Thomas (Susan Schumacher), Kevin, Dennis (Julie Dillon) Chicago Fire Department, and Terrence Sheahan; and John (Nancy Ryan) Coghlan, Carol (Joseph) Gavin, Sharon (John, Hoffman Estates Fire Department) Gerc, Phyllis (Steven, Bolingbrook Fire Department) Shanks, Sheila (Anthony) Vuckovich, Matthew (Ellen Fudacz) Coghlan, Dennis (Peggy Culloton) Coghlan, and the late Gregory Coghlan; proud Grandpa of 36 grandchildren; loving brother of 4; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 13, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (2 blocks East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris and on Thursday December 14th between the hours of 3:00PM and 9:00PM at Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 South Western Avenue in Chicago.

Funeral services will follow on Friday December 15th at 10:30AM in Saint Cajetan Catholic Church in Chicago and Burial will be in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Hospice, Mt. Carmel High School (Chicago), and St. Patrick's Church (Seneca, IL) appreciated.
