Thomas A. Sandoval, Jr.

Age 74 of Morris, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2010 at Morris Hospital.

Born January 27, 1935 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Thomas was a son of the late Thomas A., Sr. and Juanita Gutierrez-Sandoval. He was raised and educated in Albuquerque, and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On January 26, 1956 Thomas married Katharina Prost in Cologne, Germany and she preceded him in death on December 7, 2006. Thomas was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris and the IBEW Local #176, from where he retired after over 33 years of service.

Survivors include two children: Renee Zettek of Morris and Thomas A. Sandoval, III of Machesney Park, Illinois; four grandchildren: Michael Enerson, Steven (Angel) Enerson, Christina Zettek and Cailey Zettek and two great grandchildren: Austin and Bryanna Enerson.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and wife Katharina.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday January 27, 2010 between the hours of 5:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Funeral services will follow Thursday, which is the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas, at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 514 East Jackson Street in Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Richard L. Smith and Deacon Robert Stansberry officiating and burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Thomas' memory to the American Heart Association.
