Thomas Laverne Countryman, 74, of Wilmington, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Thomas was born in Joliet on April 2, 1940 to Paul H. & Margaret E. (Calhoun) Countryman. He was a member of Wilmington Moose Lodge #241, and will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, fishing and gardening.
Surviving are seven brothers: Robert of Eureka, MO; Paul Jr (Rose) of Wilmington; Ralph of LaHarpe; Charles of Quincy; Floyd (Joann) of Montrose; Walter of Winter Garden, FL; Henry (Jacklyn) Countryman of Joliet and numerous nieces and nephews; also survived by former wife, Linda Latimer and daughter Julie (Butch) Calhoun of Wilmington.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Clarence, Calvin and Edward Countryman and one sister Arlene Greer.
Cremation rites have been accorded per Tom’s wishes, and a graveside service will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 at 10:00AM in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
