Terry W. Anderson

Age 66 of Wilmington, passed away Friday morning February 13, 2015 at his home.

Born February 23, 1948 in Avon, Illinois, Terry was a son of the late Frank Robert and Ethel (Rinehart) Anderson. Following the unexpected death of both parents at the age of 6, Terry was then raised by Frank and Marge Markley and their family Joyce, Roger, Dennis, Debbie and Janice. He graduated from Avon High School with the Class of 1966 and went on to attend Greer Heavy Equipment School. On October 26, 1968, Terry married Linda Miller in Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington. Terry was a member of St. Rose Church in Wilmington, Will County Threshermen's Association, Central Illinois Green Club, and Local 150 Operating Engineers. He served as Florence Township Road Commissioner and was self employed, owning and operating Terry Anderson Excavating, Inc from 1982 to 1996. Terry enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors, engines and plows, and will be remembered for his love of riding his golf cart in the neighborhood.

Survivors include his wife Linda; son Terry Wayne (Carrie nee Whyde) Anderson and daughter Tisha (Steve) Girot, all of Wilmington; grandchildren: Tyler Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Allie Anderson, Zachary Girot and Joshua Girot; one brother Fred (Alberta "Teen") Anderson of Avon and one sister Judy St. John of Galesburg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jim Anderson.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday February 16, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Tuesday morning February 17th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Rose Catholic Church, 604 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi and Reverend John T. McGeean officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington. Pallbearers will be Terry Anderson, Steve Girot, Tyler Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Gerald Lund and Jim Habing. Ron Habing will be an honorary pallbearer.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Terry's memory to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Main Street NW, Bourbonnais, Illinois 60914 or to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
