Ted "Denny" Swanson

Ted “Denny” Swanson, 73, of Morris, passed away Friday November 8, 2024 at Serenity Estates of Morris.
He was born August 28, 1951 in Morris, the son of Ted Swanson and Betty (Kelly) Sjostrom. He attended Morris Community High School. Later, he attended Decatur Floral School and Beauty School. He was the owner and operator of Floral Designs and Beauty Shop in Morris, IL.
He is survived by his mothers, Betty Sjostrom of Morris and Rita Swanson of Sterling; brothers Barry, Terry, and Todd; sisters Julie and Jeanie; aunts Delores Kelly, Sandra Timmons, and Holly Wreath; uncles William Kelly and Cris Swanson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his fathers Ted Swanson and Art Sjostrom; his grandparents Erwin and Ethel Kelly; Ted and Loretta Swanson; his uncle Erwin Kelly Jr.; and the joy of his life, his dog, Tiny Girl.
He loved to paint, especially scenery, and arrange flowers.
Memorials can be given to donor’s choice.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery with Father Michael W. Dwyer officiating.
