Stephen C. Wix, 78, of Morris, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Center in Morris.
Born July 23, 1944 in Morris, he was the son of Milford and Margaret (Hjemvick) Wix. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1962. He was employed for 25 years at Com ED. He served in the U S Army from April 4, 1966 to April 3, 1972.
He is survived by his children, Heather (Barney) Faletti of Braidwood, Martin (Julie) Wix of Collinsville, Il and Stephenie (Scott) Bryan of Longwood, Florida; his grandchildren, Meghan, Michael, Austin and Payton; one brother, Mark Wix of Loda, Il.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Joliet Ski Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1024.
Memorials may be given to Lightways Hospice or National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
