Age 49 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully and unexpected on Thursday March 29, 2012 at her home.

Born June 28, 1962 in Joliet, Stacie is a daughter of Deacon Donald and Barbara Feeney-Dyer of Wilmington. She was a graduate of Saint Rose School in Wilmington and Saint Francis Academy in Joliet. Stacie formerly worked for the Diocese of Joliet and Provena Health, prior to her most recent position with Primary Care of Joliet. She was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and will be remembered for her love of reading, gardening, building bon fires, sketching and playing the piano. Stacie was a devoted mother and greatly loved her grandchildren, cherishing the time spent with them.

Survivors include her husband Helge Olavesen and parents Don and Barb Dyer, all of Wilmington; three children: Bobby Watters (Terra Lemke) of Wilmington, Brandi Watters of Anderson, Indiana and Brent Watters (Pamela) of Bloomington, Indiana; four step children: Jennifer Hubbard (John) and Patricia Tonnessen (Torbjorn), both of Wilmington and Melissa Welters (Danny) of Mazon; eight grandchildren: Kiarra, Jacynda, Jacob, Stella, Joshua, Sean, Selena and Tyler; two brothers and two sisters: Timothy "Tad" Dyer (Renee) of Yorkville and Christina Dyer-Ekberg (Leif), William Dyer (Tommie) and Mary Dyer, all of Wilmington; her mother-in-law Else Olavesen and brother-in-law Alf Kare Olavesen (Torhild), both of Stavanger, Norway and step grandfather Charles Anderson of Wilmington, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Stacie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: William Feeney and Geraldine Anderson; paternal grandparents: Weldon and Rufina "Billie" Dyer and father-in-law Jens Olavesen.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday April 1, 2012 between the hours of 2:00PM and 7:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Monday April 2nd at 10:00AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services, per Stacie's wishes, and a memorial luncheon provided by the Saint Rose CCW will be held in Saint Rose School.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tad Dyer, Bill Dyer, Leif Ekberg, Torbjorn Tonnessen, Greg "Skip" Bolz, Jack Nelson, Mickey Feeney and Clark Feeney.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Stacie's memory to her family.
