Sible M. Valentine
Age 74 of Morris, passed away Monday April 1, 2013, at her home with her family at her side.
Born April 7, 1938 in Cheatham County, Tennessee, Sible was a daughter of the late George W. and Mary Louallen-Hudgens. She was raised and educated in Tennessee. Sible married William Bruno Valentine and he preceded her in 2012. She worked as a housekeeper for the majority of her life. Sible loved reading and gardening, as well as spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include seven children: Gerald (Rosie) Valentine of Liberal, Kansas, Daumont (Kelly) Valentine, Michael (Vicki) Valentine and William (Marcy) Valentine, all of Morris, Dean "Jeff" (Bonnie) Valentine of Channahon and Mary Wickens and Chad (Amy) Valentine, both of Morris; twenty-three grandchildren: Daumont (Jacquelyne) Valentine III, Meagan (Jordan Agne) Valentine, Anna Valentine, Bryan Valentine, Brandon Valentine, Brenton (Kara Decker) Valentine, Marvin (Melanie) Valentine, Thomas Dabney, Andrew Peters, Rori Griffin, Gary Brecker, Jennifer (Chuck Currens) Valentine, Jeffery Valentine, Garrett Valentine, Nicole (Robert) Rub, Candace Morin, Stephanie (Revell) Sizemore, Lucas Wickens, Lena Wickens, Alex Valentine, Scott Valentine, Chase Valentine and Moni Valentine; eleven great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Wanda Valentine, one brother Nelson (Ann, fiancAC.) Hudgens and one sister Stella (the late William) Drabek as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Sible was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; one son John Vincent; one grandson Sean Michael; one son-in-law Lee Wickens; sisters: Helen Love, Evelyn Evans, Mary Rebecca Powers, and Louise Hudgens; brothers: George W. Hudgens, Jr., James Hudgens, George L. Hudgens, and Albert Hudgens.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday April 4, 2013 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow Friday April 5th at 10:00AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary's Street in Minooka, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Pallbearers will be: Daumont Valentine III, Bryan Valentine, Brandon Valentine, Brenton Valentine, Jeffery Valentine and Alex Valentine.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Sible's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
