Shirley Mae Marlowe
Age 82 of Richton Park, passed away unexpectedly Sunday March 3, 2013.
Born July 7, 1930 in Chicago, Shirley was a daughter of the late Richard and Anna Pocius-Hurtt. On November 11, 1950,
Shirley married Jack Marlowe, and he preceded her on October 14, 2010. During her life time Shirley lived in Homewood, Hazelcrest, Harvey, and most recently Richton Park. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of puzzles, bowling and playing cards.
Survivors include four children: Christopher (Sue) Marlowe of New Lenox, Patricia (James) McGehee of Minooka, John Marlowe of Richton Park and Daniel (Carolyn) Marlowe of New Lenox; seven grandchildren: Alison (Jed) Barker, Lindsey and Jayme McGehee and Jeffrey, Michelle, Matthew and Joseph Marlowe; two great grandchildren: Sadie and James Barker; two brothers: Terrance and Steven Hurtt of Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jack and two brothers: Richard and Thomas.
Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Monday March 11, 2013 at 9:30AM. Family and friends wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the Welcome Center of the cemetery by 9:15AM.
