SHIRLEY M. ERNST

Age 68 of Coal City, passed away Saturday November 19, 2005 at her home.

Born August 10, 1937 in Hammond, Indiana, Shirley was a daughter of Mildred Muncey.

On October 12, 1974 Shirley married Robert Ernst in New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City and together they lived their entire married life in Coal City. Shirley was retired from Grundy County Nursing Home, after many years of dedicated service.

Shirley was the proud mother of Steven (Katherine) Marshall of Valrico, Florida and Marlene Marshall and Scott Ernst, both of Coal City. Grandmother of Sara Black of Colorado, Jason Schott of Wilmington, Nicole Marshall of Brandon, Florida and Brittany Marshall of Valrico, Florida. Great grandmother of Aaliyha, Justus and Aidan and sister of Mildred (Henry) Brown of Morris, Irene Pullium of Missouri and David Muncey of Chicago, as well as Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her Mother, husband Robert in 2004 and one Brother.

Graveside services and interment will be held in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Wednesday November 23, 2005 at 10:00AM. Friends and family wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Cemetery at 9:45AM.

Funeral services and arrangements have been made under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
