Age 62 of Wilmington and formerly of Cambridge, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born May 18, 1953, Sherriden Lorene was a daughter of the late Charles, Sr. and Helen (Dyer) Hardy. She was raised and educated in Cambridge, and on April 21, 1979, Sherri married Dean Jones in Montello, Wisconsin. She worked as a cook at the nursing home in Wilmington for 22 years, until 2008.  Sherri enjoyed watching NASCAR and Days of our  Lives, and will forever be remembered as a loving kind and gentle soul.

Survivors include her husband Dean; brothers: Ted (Helen) Hardy of Akron, Ohio and Tim Hardy, Larry Hardy and George (Shirley) Hardy, all of Cambridge, Ohio; sister Jeanie Hardy of Wilmington; brother-in-law: Dennis (Sharon) Jones of Lodi, Wisconsin; sister-in-law: Valery (Frank) Buechner of Madison, Wisconsin, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as special friends: Beverly Anderson of Braidwood and Roberta Volpe of Wilmington.

Sherri was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Lucy and Julie and two brothers: Charles, Jr. and Bruce.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Monday morning June 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with The Rev. Jana Howson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sunset Addition in Wilmington.
