Sean Michael Valentine

Age 19 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 12, 2008 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 21, 1989 in Joliet, Sean is a son of Daumont and Kelly Orr-Valentine. Growing up in Morris, Sean played youth baseball, played with the Morris Chiefs Football and also was involved with the Seneca Irish Cadets Wrestling and Little Celtics Wrestling in New Lenox. Sean was a 2007 graduate of Morris Community High School, where he participated in wrestling and football, including the 2005 Redskin State Champion Football Team. He loved art and drawing and was a great music and movie buff. Sean was currently a student at Joliet Junior College and was employed by Maria's Restaurant in Morris. He truly enjoyed spending time with his friends, as well as his family, and was a member of the Christian Youth Center in Morris.

Survivors include his parents Daumont and Kelly Valentine of Morris; maternal grandmother JoAnn nee DuChance (Pete) Hernandez of New Lenox; paternal grandparents William and Sible Valentine of Morris; one brother Daumont (Jacquelyne) Valentine, III of Coal City and two sisters: Meagan (Tyler Johnson) Valentine and Anna Valentine, both of Morris; two nieces: Paige and Paityn Valentine; aunts and uncles: Michael (Donna) Orr of Morris, his Godfather Sean (Jennifer) Orr of New Lenox, Gary (Rosa) Valentine of Kansas, Michael (Vickie) Valentine and William Valentine, Jr., both of Morris, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Valentine of Channahon, Mary (Lee) Wickens of Lisbon, Chad (Margo Lewandowski) Valentine of Mazon and Wanda Valentine of Morris; numerous cousins and his Godmother and great aunt Margaret Elaine Valentine of Chicago, as well as numerous other great aunts, great uncles and friends.

Sean was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Thomas E. Orr (1997) and two uncles Terry Joseph Orr and John Vincent Valentine.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Monday September 15, 2008 between the hours of 2:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (One block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Sean will then lie in state on Tuesday September 16th from 10:30AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Living Water Church of the Nazarene, 304 East Jackson Street in Morris. Pastor Steven D. Cook will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Daumont Valentine III, NIck Orr, Kevin Orr, Bryan Valentine, Brandon Valentine, Brenton Valentine, Jeffery Valentine and Tyler Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Aaron Andersen, Tabor Aubry, Sal Evola, Stan Kowalewski, Bryan Peterson, Matt "Mo" Peterson, John Roseland, Jake Vienne and Joe Kingman.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Sean's memory to his family for the establishment of an Art Scholarship at Morris Community High School or to the Christian Youth Center of Morris, 118 East Jefferson Street, PO Box 164, Morris, Illinois 60450.
