Age 57 of Wilmington, formerly Palos Hills, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home.

Born September 16, 1958 in Evergreen Park, Scott is a son of Arletta Ann and the late John Henry Roe.  He was raised and educated in Palos Hills, and graduated from Stagg High School with the Class of 1976.  Scott was a self-employed, general contractor, who owned and operated R.B. & E. Construction for 30 years until his retirement in 2007.  He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed creating and collecting weaponry.  Scott was an animal lover, had a passion for botany, and truly appreciated vintage vehicles.

Scott is survived by his mother: Arletta Roe of Louisville, Illinois; three children: Raven Lynn (Kevin) Wies of Westfield, Indiana, Brandy Lee Roe of Coal City, and Eric Scott Roe of Wilmington; two grandchildren: Dylan Michael Wies and Kenzie Lynn Wies; one brother: John (Sandy) Roe of Palos Hills; two sisters: Tammy (Scott) Moran of Palos Hills and Arletta Roe of Louisville, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews, and the mother of his children: Donna Roe of Joliet.

Scott was preceded in death by his father: John Henry Roe in 2005.

Visitation and video tribute will be Saturday May 14, 2016 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Life Celebration, 2:00 p.m. Bob Aiken will officiate and cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
