Scott Bavone
Age 47 of Wilmington, formerly Bolingbrook and Plainfield, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home.
Born August 13, 1967 in Oak Park, Scott was a son of the late Dominick and Sandra Robinson-Bavone. He was raised and educated in Bolingbrook, and was a car salesman with Tyson Motors, prior to gaining employment with Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood. On May 7, 2001, Scott married Leigh Ann Thompson. He was a man of many interests including fishing and the outdoors, movies, especially comedies, laughing and for being an avid Chicago sports fan. Scott also enjoyed collecting antiques and tinkering on clocks, reading and sharing his wealth of knowledge, and will be remembered for his love of dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years and best friend for 25, Leigh; two children: Rachel Marie and David Scott Bavone, both of Chicago; two grandchildren: Giselle and Vincent; paternal grandmother: Blanche Bavone of Berwyn; five siblings: Todd (Denise) Bavone of Coal City, Thomas (Tonya) Bavone of Plainfield, Dominick (Kelly) Bavone, Jr. of Indiana, Tricia Fontana of Joliet and Christine (Paul) Sherry of Plainfield; father and mother-in-law: William and Nancy Thompson of Aurora, and seventeen nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway in Coal City. Cremation rights will be accorded and a graveside service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 in St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Plainfield.
