SARAH WARD (nee Hicks)
Age 64 of Coal City and formerly Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 1, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 15, 1943, Sarah was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Imalee Inman-Hicks. She was employed by Harrah's Casino for many years and her greatest joys, aside from her family were bowling, playing cards and bags, four wheeling and traveling.
Survivors include three sons: Allen (Jina Plese) Ward and Bill (Beth) Ward, both of Wilmington and Denny (Shonda) Ward of Texas. Four daughters: Barb Reddington and Donna (David, "Chopper") Ragain, both of Coal City, Karen (Steve) Begler of Braidwood and Gail (Dana) Endrst of Coal City. Two brothers: Ronald (Paula) Hicks of Kentucky and David (Kathie) Hicks of Indiana. Four sisters: Glenna Harris of Kentucky, Vivian (Buster) Harris of Texas, Carol (Eugene) Scott of Indiana and Nancy (Frank) Haynie of Nevada. (18) Grandchildren: Kristan, Alicia, Robbie, Kayla, Rachel, Katie, Kaleb, Alison, Lauren, Ryan, Allen, Brandon, Julia, Sam, William, Cade, Hayden and Austin. Sister-in-law Martha Hicks of Bloomington and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry, grandson Joshua Endrst and nephew Randy Harris.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Wednesday December 5, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Thursday December 6th from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Pastor Ron Taylor will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
