"Sandy"

Age 53 of Wilmington, passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born October 22, 1958 in Silver Hill, Maryland, Sandy was a daughter of the late James C. and Martha Howard-Scholey. She was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1978. Sandy retired from Johnson and Johnson Personal Products in 1992 after 15 years of service. She was a faithful member of Saint Rose Catholic Church and volunteered at both Kuzma Care Cottage and in the Library at St. Rose Catholic School. She had a great love for dogs and enjoyed walking.

Survivors include her siblings: Michelle (Peter) Profilet of Dallas, Texas, Delores (Howard, III) Howard of Royce City, Texas, Anthony (Denise) Scholey of Aurora, Illinois and Kenneth (Tina) Scholey of Wilmington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her special friend and caregiver Cindy Reuter.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; sister Kathleen Scholey and brother James E. Scholey.

The family will receive friends on Friday July 27, 2012 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington, from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Sandy's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, IL 60481.
