Age 66 of Gardner, passed away Saturday August 2, 2014 at home surrounded by her family, special friend Krystl and her "small" cat Peanut.

Born August 28, 1947 in Pontiac, Sandra Faye was a daughter of the late William Harold and Betty (Benson) Wilkey. She married Don Jensen March 17, 1967 in Dwight. Sandy receive her degree as a medical coder auditor from Joliet Junior College and recently retired from Provena Healthcare. She enjoyed being with family, sewing and being a prankster with her wonderful sense of humor. Sandy was a huge Cubs fan always texting her grandson during the games. She was also a long time member of the Gardner Firebells.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years Don; one daughter Barb Jett and two grandchildren, who were her pride and joy: Lucas and Megan, all of Gardner; six brothers: Bill (Jeanette) Wilkey of Dwight, Duane (Judy) Wilkey of Adamsville, TN, Herb (Kathy) Wilkey of Braceville, Randy (Nancy) Wilkey of Gardner, Jim Wilkey of Cabery and Doug (Julie) Wilkey of Dwight; three sisters: Patsy Perry and Kathy (David) Curl, both of Reddick and Sue (Bob) Thompson of Energy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Jodi Lynn; three brothers: Wayne, Wesley and Terry Wilkey and her mother and father-in-law: Harold and Myrtle Jensen.

Visitation and video tribute will be held Wednesday August 6, 2014 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 203 Liberty Street in Gardner. Funeral services will follow Thursday August 7th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Jan Chandler from Church of Hope officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Lucas Jett, Jamie Wilkey, Jordan Wilkey, Dave Curl, Rich Curl and Terry Wilkey. Megan Jett will be an honorary pallbearer.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Sandy's memory to the Church of Hope in Gardner of Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice.
