Ryan L. Adkins

Age 52 of Bourbonnais, passed away unexpectedly Monday January 7, 2013.

Born February 9, 1960 in Geneseo, Illinois, Ryan is a son of Larry and Arlene Morton-Adkins of Atkinson, Illinois. He was raised and educated in Atkinson and graduated from Atkinson High School. Ryan was currently employed with Target of Bradley, where he worked as a Store Facility Technician. It was through Target that he greatly enjoyed volunteering throughout the community. Ryan enjoyed fishing and drawing; loved his Jeep and had many great times four wheeling. He will be remembered for his Winter video gaming and could regularly be found watching horror films.

Survivors include his fiance Tina Howard of Wilmington; parents Larry and Arlene Adkins of Atkinson; daughter Jennifer Binstock of North Dakota; grandson Dillon; two brothers: Ron (Theresa) Hansen of Princeton, Illinois and Wade Adkins of Davenport, Iowa and two nephews: Dan and Nick Hansen.

Ryan was preceded in death by a sister Ramona in infancy.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday January 13, 2013 between the hours of 2:00PM and 5:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Monday January 14th at 10:30AM in Atkinson Congregational Church, 201 West 2nd Street, Atkinson, Illinois. Reverend Mike McBride will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Annawan, Illinois.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ryan's memory to the Diabetes Association.
