Ruth E. Vilt

Age 89 of Coal City passed away Sunday evening March 01, 2009 at Heritage Manor in Dwight.

Born October 25, 1919 in Granville, IL, Ruth was a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Cresto. She was raised and educated in Marseilles and was a graduate of Marseilles High School with the graduating class of 1938. Ruth married James Vilt, Jr. and together they lived in Coal City their entire married life. Ruth was a member of the Coal City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son: Michael D. Vilt of Coal City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death her parents Frank and Josephine Cresto; her husband James Vilt, Jr.; one son David in infancy; two sisters and one brother.

A private family interment will be held in Bohemian National Cemetery in Braidwood on Friday March 06, 2009 with Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church officiating.
