Age 78 of Coal City, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born May 24, 1938 in Hillsboro, Illinois, Rosemary was a daughter of the late Charles and Edith Shelton. On September 22, 1973 Rosemary married Stephen Sayers. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4535 Auxiliary in Fairfield, Illinois. Rose worked at Mainline Video in Coal City, as well as sold Avon, before gaining employment as a bookkeeper with Giggles Pizza and the Family Skate Center in Coal City. She was musically talented, played the piano and organ, and taught guitar lessons. Rose enjoyed fishing and camping, as well as movies. She took pleasure in needlepoint and crocheting, and leaves behind many cherished heirlooms.

Survivors include her husband Steve; daughter Judy Larsen of Coal City; son James (Denise) Womack of Orland Park; grandchildren: Mikey (Carrie) Larsen, Toby Totz and Cary Totz, all of Minnesota and Victoria Hoobyar of Oak Lawn; great grandchildren: Ethan, Anna, Mia, Zach, Liam and Arianna; one sister Marlene Keen of Coal City and several nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; brother James Erp and sister Marion Dalcanton.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Tuesday morning, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sample Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rose's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
