Rose A. Snyder

Age 96 of Morris, passed away Sunday May 20, 2007 at Morris Hospital.

Born in Poland, Rose was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kowalczyk. She came to America at the age of 3 and spent the rest of her life in Morris. Rose worked for Self-Locking Carton for many years until her retirement and she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris and the National Polish Alliance. Rose enjoyed crocheting, collecting rocks, polka dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: one son John Snyder and his wife Lois; one daughter-in-law June Sterling and her husband Richard and one sister Charlotte Hildy. Eight grandchildren: Curt Snyder, Wayne Snyder, Richard Snyder, Dan Snyder, Patricia Staton, Susan Carey, Jeff Snyder and James Snyder; (25) Great Grandchildren and (10) Great-Great Grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Snyder in 1976, one son Gerald Snyder, one great grandson John C. Snyder and one great-great grandson Shawn Bradley. Seven brothers: Anthony, Albert, John, Joseph, Edward, Walter and Frank and one sister Josephine Calhoun.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 23, 2007 from 9:00AM until 9:45AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 East Jackson Street in Morris. Funeral services will follow at 10:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris and pallbearers will be Rose's grandsons: Curt Snyder, Wayne Snyder, Richard Snyder, Dan Snyder Jeff Snyder and James Snyder.
