Age 72 of Coal City, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Morris Hospital.
Born March 17, 1949 in Morris, Ronald LaVerne is the son of Fern (nee Gordon) and the late Francis Wren, Sr. He was raised in Morris and Coal City, and began working at the age of eighteen for Broadway Ford in Coal City. Ronnie then enlisted in the United States Army and served for two years until his honorable discharge from service. On August 11, 1978, he married Dena Marie Pacchetti in Morris, and together they made their home in Coal City.
Following his military service, Ronnie worked as a millwright and then joined the Laborers Local 75 where he worked and held membership for over 30 years. He was a member of the Coal City Area Club where he took pleasure in spending his time fishing. Ronnie enjoyed watching NASCAR and especially enjoyed Mark Martin's style of racing. He was a handy guy who was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed it. Ronnie was a true family man who always put his family first. He loved everyone, and the garage door was always open with a Euchre deck and Rum and Coke ready for anyone who stopped by.
