Ronald W. Shain

Age 42 of Coal City, passed away Thursday December 1, 2011 at his home.

Born November 28, 1969 in Morris, Ron is a son of Judith and Michael Friddle of Coal City. He was raised and educated in Coal City, was a graduate of Illinois State University and attended Governor's State University to earn his Master's Degree. Ron was previously employed at Heritage Bluffs Golf Course in Channahon, where he was the Pro Shop Manager. He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City and the Coal City Area Club. Ron had a great love of all sports, and particularly enjoyed golf and fishing.

Survivors include his parents: Judith and Michael Friddle of Coal City; aunt Barb Ladrick of Chandler, Indiana; god-daughter: Monica Bone of Olathe, Kansas and several very close friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Mary Eloise Kaehlert and Harry and Treva Friddle.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Sunday December 4, 2011 from 2:00PM until time of Celebration of Life 4:00PM at Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd., 75 North Broadway in Coal City. Reverend Robert Noesen from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church will officiate.

A private family interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ron's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
