Rochelle L. Loeschen

Age 61 of Wilmington and formerly Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 7, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born September 9, 1946 in Chicago, Rochelle was a daughter of the late Roy and Celeste Bird-Crysler. In her free time she enjoyed watching birds and squirrels and Rochelle was a special "Yaya" whose greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include five daughters: Robin Veseli of Wilmington, Radena Shelby of Joliet, Rhonda (Davey) Reyes of Braidwood, Rochelle (Jason) Smith of Rushville, IL and Rabecca (Tina Scott) Loeschen of Shorewood; five grandchildren: Eric Jon Loeschen, Adrien Reyes, Brianna Flores, Aliyah Reyes and Kegan Smith; one brother Lyn (Joy) Crysler of Spring Grove, IL; her husband of 28 years: Ronald L. Loeschen of Wilmington and mother-in-law of 28 years: Geri (Gene) Umstattd of Bloomington, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Raquel Loeschen in 1969.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 10, 2008 between the hours of 5:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Graveside services will follow on Friday July 11th at 3:30PM in Cropsey Cemetery in Cropsey, Illinois with Reverend Carl LoPresti officiating. Pallbearers will be Davey Reyes, Adrien Reyes, Jason Smith, Eric Loeschen, Tony Ritz and Eugene Smith.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Rochelle's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
