Age 75 of Braidwood passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, January 15, 2016 at his home.

Born July 27 1940 in Braidwood, Robert James was a son of the late Robert and Marie Louise (Van Duyne) Wilson. He was raised in Braidwood; graduated from Reed-Custer High School with the class of 1958, and went on to honorably serve in the United States Navy. Bob retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation in 2001, after 31 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood, Wilmington Moose Lodge #241; American Legion, and the Braidwood Recreation Club. Bob loved his dogs; took pleasure in yard work and gardening; enjoyed travelling with his sister Donna, and made many memories playing euchre and socializing with friends.

Survivors include two brothers: Thomas R. (Vicky) Wilson and Daniel L. (Dora) Wilson, both of Braidwood; three sisters: Donna J. Wilson and Kimberly K. (Robert) Tribble of Braidwood, and Rita E. (Paul) Nacey of Leesburg Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Betty R. Humphrey, and a niece Leisa Shanks.

Cremation rites have been accoreded and services will be held at a later date.
