Robert E. Williams

Age 57 of Wilmington and formerly Decatur, passed away Friday May 15, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born November 26, 1951 in Decatur, Robert was a son of the late Robert F. and Phyllis Lehman-Williams. He was a high school graduate, who attended college and served our Country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Robert was employed by the State Parks of Illinois for many years and was a member of A.F.S.C.M.E. (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees). His other memberships included: Wilmington VFW Post and the Wilmington Moose Lodge. Robert was an avid coin collector and greatly enjoyed nature and wildlife.

Survivors include his son Mark (Tory) Williams of Decatur; two sisters: Patty Barr of Decatur and Annie Williams of Hortonville, New York and a special friend Val Duncan of Wilmington.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2009 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Graveside services and full military will follow Wednesday at 11:30AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood with Rev. H. Jae Lee from the First United Methodist Church in Wilmington will officiating.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Robert's memory to the American Cancer Society.
