Robert Edward Wahl

Age 76 of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Morris, IL passed away on Sept. 19th, 2007 at the Heartland Hospice in Austell, GA.

Bob was born in Streator, IL Feb. 7th, 1931. He married Marilyn Fellows on April 7th, 1955 and they were married for 52 years.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and served aboard the USS Bennington and the USS Coral Sea. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 21st, 1955. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

In 1955, he was employed by Northern Illinois Gas Co. as a meter reader in Ottawa, IL. In 1959, he was promoted to a service technician and transferred to Morris, IL. He retired on March 1st, 1988 after 33 years of service.

He and Marilyn retired to Cape Coral, FL where they lived for many years. In March, 2005, they moved to Leesburg, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Leesburg, FL; daughter Debby and her husband James Bunn of Marietta, GA; son Tim and his wife Carol of Woolwich, ME; grandchildren Ryan Wahl, Lauren Rickles and her husband Ryan, Erin Duggins, Monica Wahl and her significant other Darren Creamer, Ashley Wills and her husband Tim, Joshua Wahl and Michelle Bunn; great-grandchildren Connor and Riley Duggins and Chloe Creamer; sister Dorothy Kear of Streator, IL; brother Don Wahl of Arvada, CO and formerly Streator, IL and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his son Mike on Dec. 17th, 2000; parents Lester and Dorothy; sister Betty Fuller and brother Lester Jr..

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24th, 2007, at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 E. Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) Morris, IL.
