Age 58 of Joliet, passed away Monday July 26, 2010 at his home.

Born October 21, 1951 in Morris, Robbie is a son of Thora Lohmar (nee Jensen) of Carbon Hill and Robert Eugene Uerkwitz of Walker, Missouri. Robbie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served during Vietnam. He was formerly employed with Kerr Glass in Plainfield, and can be remembered for his love of fishing.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Butcher of Joliet; mother Thora Lohmar of Carbon Hill, father Robert Eugene (Ada) Uerkwitz of Walker, Missouri; three children: Wayne Uerkwitz, Holly (Mike) Goad and Mike Uerkwitz, all of Diamond; one grandson Kyle Goad and one brother Tom (Peggy) Uerkwitz of Coal City.

Robbie was preceded in death by his stepfather Richard Lohmar.

Interment with full military honors will be held Friday July 30, 2010 at 11:00AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Family and Friends wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the Cemetery Welcome Center by 10:45AM.
