Robert Reynolds
Age 73 of Wilmington and formerly Clarendon Hills and Naperville, passed away December 13, 2006 at his home.
Robert was born in Chicago and raised in the Clarendon Hills area. Robert was a graduate of Hinsdale Central High School with the graduating class of 1951. On October 03, 1953, Robert married Sarah Louise Wolford in Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills, and together they lived most of their married life in Clarendon Hills until moving to Naperville in 1995 and then Wilmington in 2005. Robert was an EMT, Clarendon Hills Fireman and former Fire Chief, and worked and formerly owned Ginghers-Reynolds Foods. Robert also worked for Townsend Lithography until his retirement. He was active with the Hinsdale Class Reunion Committee for the Class of 1951 and was known as a people person.
Survivors include his dear wife Louise; three children: Roberta "Bobbie" (Bob) Siebert of Villa Park, Sandra Reynolds (Orlando Smith) of South Bend, Indiana and Jeffrey (Mary) Reynolds of St. John, Indiana. Eleven Grandchildren: Rob Siebert, Shannon Siebert, Todd (Jenny) Siebert, Chris Reynolds-Smith, Ashley Reynolds-Smith, Brandon Reynolds-Smith, Elyse Reynolds, Kelsey Reynolds, Molly Reynolds, Nathan Reynolds and Hayley Reynolds. One sister-in-law Nancy Reynolds; one brother-in-law Jim VanRiper and one special cousin Betty Plummer, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bill Reynolds and three sisters: Jean Reynolds, Grace (Donald) Dycee and Ruth VanRiper.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Saturday December 16, 2006 from 1:00PM until time of funeral service 3:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Sandra Hafey will officiate and inurnment with full military honors will follow on Monday December 18, 2006 at 11:00AM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
