Robert W. Olsson

Age 77 of Addison, passed away Saturday February 07, 2009 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Born April 6, 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Robert was a son of the late Leo and India (Bogren) Olsson. He served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 1971. Robert then worked as a laser technician. He was a Cubs fan, enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his four children; two daughters: Veronica Olsson and Ann McMullen, and two sons: Duane (Tammy Hale-Olsson) Olsson, and Phillip Olsson; six grandchildren: Natasha, Deannah, Austin, Haley, Devin and Dominique; one brother: James and two sisters: Ellen and Elsia; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Albert and Jack and two sisters: Ruth and Jean.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday February 11, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City.

Funeral services will follow at 10:30AM on Thursday February 12th in the funeral home.

Burial with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois at 12:00PM.
