Robert E. Nathanson

Age 92 of Godley passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Born July 9, 1923 in Chicago, Robert was employed for thirty-five years by Victor Dana Corporation as a tool crib attendant until his retirement in the 1970’s. He was married to Lorraine Vague, until she passed away August 14, 2003. Robert love to watch television and cheer on his favorite sport teams, especially the Chicago Cubs, and loved to play bingo.

Survivors include his two children: Jo Anne Viol of Braidwood and Paul Nathanson of Joliet; one granddaughter: Jennifer Viol of Braidwood; and two great grandsons: Jeff and Austin Viol.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter: Alice Nathanson; and son: Steve Nathanson.

Interment will be Thursday June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Robert’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
