Robert Marshall

Robert Marshall, 77, of rural Morris, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Arcadia Care of Morris.
Born February 21, 1946 in Morris, he was the son of Allen and Mary (Carr) Oswood. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1964. He married Marilyn (Hougas) West on December 2, 1982 and they lived all of their married life in rural Morris. He was employed with the State of Illinois, Newark Elevator, Grundy FS, Minooka Bus Barn and a realtor for 20 years with Century 21.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; two step children, Robert (Cindy) West of Morris and Tom West of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Ryan, Haley (Dan) Ripplinger and Audrey West; one brother, Steven (Mary) Marshall of Joliet; two sisters, Molly (Don) Daughty of Alabama and Melissa ( Monte) Swapp of Colorado; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Tracey and Jim Marshall.
He was a Chicago Bears fan, like to hunt and fish and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris with Pastor Steve Larson officiating. Interment will follow in West Lisbon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
