Age 79 of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 18, 2008 at Morris Hospital.

Born July 30, 1928 in Coal City, Bob was a son of the late Anthony and Amelia Kuzlaric-Francisco. He was raised and educated in Coal City and was a graduate of Coal City High School and Illinois State University. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served our country during the Korean Conflict from 1951 until being honorably discharged in 1955. He retired in July of 1983 from APSA after 33 years of service, of which during his tenure included working at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a member of the Morris VFW. Bob truly loved being retired and enjoyed watching cars and people. Bob was known for sitting in his PT Cruiser in his driveway, as well as at the Berkots Store in Coal City on a daily basis.

Survivors include two children: Debra Smith of Fort Worth, Texas and Mark (Kay) Francisco of Coal City. Six grandchildren: Todd (Cindy) Francisco of Diamond, Dustin Francisco of Coal City, Kathryn Rose Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, Anthony Robert Francisco and Chris Francisco, both of Coal City and Colby Francisco of Seneca. Ten great grandchildren: Anthony Robert Francisco, Chris Francisco, Colby Francisco, Kayla Francisco, Kiely Francisco, Ryan Rogers, Lauren Baron, Joseph Purcell and twins: Isabella and Sophia Moreno, as well as special friends: Zora Purcell of Morris and Megan Moreno of Joliet.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one son Ron Francisco.

Funeral services are private at the request of the family and inurnment with full military honors will be held in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bob's memory to the Coal City Fireman's Fund.
