Robert Lee Drauden

Age 73 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at Fairview Haven in Fairbury, Illinois.

Born June 23, 1939 in Bend, Oregon, Robert was a son of the late Elmer and Mabel Johnson-Drauden. He was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and entered into the United States Navy, where he honorably served for four years. On September 5, 1964 Robert married Jean White Alexander McEvoy in Glasgow, Scotland and together they lived in Coal City, and most recently Chatsworth. In 1966 Robert gained employment with Commonwealth Edison, from where he retired in 1994.

Survivors include his wife Jean; two sons: Gordon (Melody) Drauden and Mark Drauden; granddaughter Rachel Drauden and one sister Elmerine Vest.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Connie Melvin.

Cremation rites have been accorded per the wishes of the family. Military honors and inurnment will be held in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2:30PM.
