Robert G. Camp
A Mason, as well as a pioneering thinker, strategist and humanitarian passed away, early in the afternoon on March 26th at age 58, while in Costa Rica. For the last several years, Mr. Camp battled degenerative discs in his spine and failing health overall.
Born June 19, 1952 in Chicago, he was a son of the late Jerome and Patricia Lavery-Camp. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served during the Vietnam Era.
He leaves behind a son Robert Anthony (Jennifer L.) Camp; former wives: Karen Camp and Joy Belanger Camp; a sister Mary Camp-Droessler and one granddaughter Calista Grace Camp.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Camp; father Jerome Camp and one brother Jerry Camp.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 12, 2011 from 12:30PM until time of services 1:30PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. (815/476-2181)
Burial with full military honors will follow at 2:30PM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
