Ricky Kimmons

Age 57 of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly January 29, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born September 15, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona, Johnnie Richard "Ricky" Kimmons was a son of the late Lee J. and Mae Ruth Elizabeth Fann-Kimmons. He was employed for a number of years with Fisher Body and later went into the construction business.

Survivors include his wife Susan (nee Wright), whom he married October 22, 1983 in Wilmington; two brothers and one sister: Donald (Gail) Kimmons of Countryside, Sandra Collins of Cleveland, Tennessee and Steven (Mildred) Kimmons of Naperville; two aunts: Evelyn and Annie; his mother-in-law Aretta Wright of Wilmington; brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne (Cathy) Wright of Gardner, Dianna (Allan) Taylor of Mansfield, Ohio, Cynthia (Ted) Yakima of Manteno and Sandra Nowman of Channahon; nieces and nephews on the Kimmons side of the family: Billie, Nicole, Robin, Stevie, Scottie, Brooke, Mike and Matt and nieces and nephews on the Wright side of the family: Rhonda, Sherry, Angie, Dave, Amanda, Sammi, Teddy, Christin, Bradley, Matt, Sarah and Marcie

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents: Lee J. and Mae Ruth Elizabeth Kimmons and father-in-law Clifford Wright.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 1st from 4:00PM until time of funeral service 6:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Pastor Jack McCormick will officiate and final interment will be in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ricky's memory to his family for their distribution to local charities of their choosing.
