Rick Darling

Age 49 of Diamond, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening January 24, 2014 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 22, 1964, Rick is a son of Richard (Linda) Darling, Sr. of Lemont. He was a 1982 graduate of Argo Community High School in Summit. On May 19, 1990, Rick married Mikki Drager in Lemont and together they lived in Channahon prior to moving to Diamond in 2005. Rick was employed at D&H Distribution in Bolingbrook, where he was a maintenance manager. He enjoyed boating and will be remembered for his passion of baseball. He also took great pride in coaching his sons.

Survivors include his wife Mikki and two sons: Jory Darling and Danny Darling, all of Diamond; his father Dick (Linda) Darling of Lemont; mother and father-in-law: Bev and Fuzzy Drager of Channahon; two sisters-in-law Kim (Jeff) Rueth and Denise (Eric) Johnson and (11) nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his sister Karen Maslinski.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2014 from 3:00PM until time of funeral service 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway in Coal City. Green Cremation will be accorded following the services.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rick's memory to Unit #1 Education Foundation, P.O. Box 177, Coal City, Illinois 60416.
